Based on the famous weekly Gujarati series Duniya Ne Undha Chasma written by eminent writer Tarak Mehta, the sitcom Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma is produced by Assit Modi of Neela Telefilms and aired on SAB TV. He is the writer of one of the most popular comic book named Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chasma.
Jethalal-Daya
The show is a laugh riot revolving around the residents of Gokuldham housing society. The protagonist, Jethalal Gada (Dilip Joshi), is a typical Gujarati businessman, married to Daya (Disha Wakani). They have a very mischievous son Tipendra (Bhavya Gandhi) fondly called Tapu. Jethalal keeps throwing his weight around at home, but is very scared of his father Champaklal (Amit Bhatt).
